Yeshua is meant to be our Accountability Partner/Mediator. It is His Power that sets us free. If we live our lives by His example, others will take notice. We have the full capacity of Jesus Christ living in us through His Holy Spirit to refrain from sin and hear the Truth directly. It's not a bad thing to seek out counsel, but we are not dependent on another person to receive restoration or freedom from our sins.
