An article in the American business magazine Forbes ranks Sweden as the world's second most dangerous country for women travellers - after South Africa.
The Safety Detectives organisation has analysed 78 countries to find out which are the safest and most dangerous for women.
The statistics are based on how many crimes are committed against women and how women are protected by the country's laws.
The worst country for women is South Africa - followed by Sweden, El Salvador, Jamaica and Honduras.
The safest country for women is Japan, according to the results.
The Forbes article was published in December, but it is only now that it is attracting attention in Sweden and gaining widespread coverage among social media users.
