Everybody always talks about "road music" - a song or series of songs that can get you going when you're behind the wheel and on the highway that seems to go on forever. So today's Segue City Special gets right to it at 100 mph with peaks at 120 mph to boot... Chaka Khan is having at it with Rufus into Annie Lenox and the Eurythmics and as the old railroading phrase puts it, they're "ballin' the jack."

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
