Hey what's happening everyone, my name is Speedstreak and welcome to Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, a visual novel series in which a group of people are kidnapped by a mysterious person named Zero forced to play a game. We begin with the first game, Nine Hours, Nine People, Nine Doors, aka 999 on the PC as we play as Junpei, who wakes up and finds himself and eight other kidnapped people in a ship and each one having a weird watch with a number on it as they try to find a way to escape.

Kidnapped and taken to an unfamiliar location, nine people find themselves forced to participate in a diabolical Nonary Game by an enigmatic mastermind called Zero. Why were they there? Why were they chosen to put their lives on the line as part of a dangerous life and death game? Who can be trusted? Tensions rise as the situation becomes more and more dire, and the nine strangers must figure out how to escape before they wind up dead.
