Russian soldiers have taken control of a Ukrainian Armed Forces command post in Nikolayevka on the

outskirts of Kiev.

61 Ukrainian soldiers of the command post have voluntarily surrendered, more than half of them are senior officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The soldiers laid down their arms en masse due to lack of supplies, ammunition and food.

All soldiers who laid down their weapons were evacuated from the combat zone and, if necessary, given medical care. All Ukrainian soldiers were also provided with food.
