Not your personal promise to pay. No credit check is required.
But...hard money lenders want to work with people who will complete the deal and pay them back.
So many "newbies" are willing to use their credit instead of experience that many "Hard money lenders" aren't really doing hard money loans any longer. They all want more "security".
Don't fret, plenty of private money and real hard money people around. You just have to look.
