Dramatic video shows diners fleeing a restaurant when it burst into flames.

Fire crews were scrambled to Empanadas RD in the Bronx, New York late on Monday night (28/3).

Josian Narvaez, 47, was insider ordering a sandwich with his daughter when the fire broke out.

The truck driver said: “Someone came running out screaming, and when the door opened again a lot of smoke began to come out.

“The person who was serving us was scared and jumped over the table next to us. When more smoke came out, we went outside and all the chefs began to run out.”

Footage shows a man tries to put the fire out but the flames are too big and he quickly backs away into the road.

Another man then runs into the restaurant next to the delivery entrance to warn a colleague who comes running out of the restaurant.
