Olympic Gold Medalist Ross Rebagliati is in the house, to discuss his experience and ongoing journey with psychedelic medicine.
Ross won the first ever gold medal in snowboarding back in 1998. Added to the roister in 1994, the /98 Olympics in Nagano was the first ever race for gold in snowboarding, and Ross' first major win.
The celebration was short lived in Japan, when he was informed he was being disqualified, due to finding THC in his post game lab tests. Since THC was not even on the banned substance list, the win and medal were eventually reinstated, but the damage to his reputation and career were already done.
The ordeal left Ross shaken, but not dissuaded. He wanted his experience and publicity behind it all to mean something. So instead of shying away, he stood up. He wanted to give meaning to what he had gone through and became a spokesperson for the benefits of cannabis, turning adversity into entrepreneurial success.
Ross' Gold was born, beginning with paraphernalia which included bongs and pipes. Ross is now setting up his legal production of cannabis as well.
Gravitating into the realm of natural medicine didn't stop with cannabis. Psilocybin, or magic mushrooms is also part of his life.
