Hungary Positioned To Exploit Conflict Between Russia and EU

Hungary is uniquely positioned to benefit from this new cold war. As much as the EU hates Orban, he has proved that they cannot overthrow his government. At this point, the EU can try to deal with Orban's Hungary or push the Hungarians right into the open arms of Putin's Russia. If the EU wishes to keep Hungary friendly to the West, they will have to accept Hungary's relationship with Russia. This could perhaps allow Hungary to become the only truly neutral country in Europe for the duration of this new cold war.
