Ballet Mecanique was an Dadaism experimental art piece released in 1924 as part of The Rohauer Collection: and is widely considered to be one of the masterpieces of early experimental film.
When first released in 1924, the piece was silent, and premiered at the International Exposition for New Theater Technique in Vienna.

Watching this now, you could be forgiven for thinking this is a video from a modern shoegaze band and easily forget it's footage from 1924.
