E8: Cabin Building Isn't Easy Alone. Also, Can Empathy Be Taught?

I moved to Texas a year ago and am trying to go off grid in the near future. Currently building a tiny cabin as a guesthouse and a practice to learn all that I need to know, to be able to build my real compact home. This is a challenge to self, so I am building this alone for as much as possible, and sometimes using help when people visit me and want to contribute.
I hope to be fully sustainable in two years by growing my own food, dig my own well water and go off-grid with electricity.
