Synopsis:
Joel briefly moves upstairs to check for proper hallway receptacle spacing and stairway lighting control. Hallways are not considered living spaces, and are therefore given different code requirements for receptacle spacing. Stairways are a unique safety hazard in a home, which warrants the extra measures the National Electrical Code (NEC) puts in place to make visibility easier.
