Description
If you lived in Columbus, Indiana during the last century, at some point you might have heard of Geoff. As a young Christian, age 19-20, he and some friends wrote nearly thirty songs about their love of Jesus and formed a band called Rapture. Geoff, who was a drummer, only played an acoustical guitar while he sang with this band. There was only one other instrument used in the group, an accoustical 12-string guitar played by Benny, also a young Christian. He, along with Geoff, wrote numerous songs together. Their personalities and musical taste were quite different, and they blended well together in their songs. I often referred to them as the "Lennon-McCartney of gospel music." The main focus of this group's musical style was not the instruments, but the vocals. Geoff and his twin brother who also sang in the group have since passed away, but I told both of them that I did not want to see their music die. Please use the songs as you see fit. And use the music for God's glory.
