Description
"Getcher baroque on, y'all!"
Greetings. I studied Schenker/Salzer theory under Wallace "Wally" Bower at El Camino College in Torrance, CA in the 1990's. Wally was epic. As a student of one of Schenker's graduates, Oswald Jonas, Wally infused us with the spirit of music as well as its technicalities. I think those lessons have finally settled in, 30 years later. Benefiting from the onset of a great swell of creativity in 2024, I've been re-reading a lot of the old texts, Salzer, Higgs, Kitson, Prout to name a few, to hone my craft and dig deep into the technicalities. I hope the waves persist! What I also hope is that you enjoy your time listening to my music and find something rewarding from having spent that time.
I abhor AI in any and all aspects and in concordance, never use it. I think AI is the death of creativity and independence: if you have a machine do your thinking, what's the point of doing the thinking for yourself. The same applies to research, daily mundane tasks, the essence of the human experience. As a rugged individualist, I'm no smooth-brained collectivist. So, that said, I DO NOT use AI, I will NEVER use AI, and I look down my nose at those who do. I'm sure you'll get over it.
