Description

We share painting demonstrations and lectures on the masterworks from history, devoted to the legacy of the greatest painter from antiquity: Apelles. His technique was described by Pliny and has been emulated by painters such as Titian, Rembrandt, Velasquez, Anders Zorn and Odd Nerdrum. Apelles was once asked why he touched and retouched his pictures with so much care, to which he replied: "I paint for eternity."
