Day Hiking & Backpacking mainly in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and Grayson Highlands of Virginia and the neighboring states of Tennessee and North Carolina. I hike mainly with my good friend Delmar and his Chihuahua Charlie and also my grandson Preston nicknamed Moe. I live just a few miles outside of the sleepy little town of Damascus,Va. well known for it's yearly Trail Days celebration every May.
