A companion channel for my Tom's Big Spiders blog, this channel is devoted to arachnoculture and the husbandry of tarantulas. (https://tomsbigspiders.wordpress.com/) After keeping a G. porteri for over 16 years, I decided that I wanted to add another T to my collections. Little did I know that this would begin a new obsession. With over 250 specimens and 100+ species, I'm now hopelessly addicted to the hobby. I'm NOT an expert, and I'm currently still learning about keeping these fascinating creatures. In fact, there are so many species, that I suspect I'll still be learning years from now. A teacher by trade, I enjoy passing along what I've learned and helping other in their successful pursuit of this hobby.

Spider-Man is a beloved superhero from Marvel Comics created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. The character first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962 and quickly became one of the most popular superheroes of all time. The character of Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker, a high school student who gains spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. With his newfound powers, he becomes a crime-fighting superhero, donning a red and blue costume and taking on the moniker of Spider-Man. What sets Spider-Man apart from other superheroes is his relatability. Peter Parker is just an average kid trying to balance his superhero responsibilities with his everyday life. He struggles with school, relationships, and personal issues like any normal person would, which makes him an endearing and relatable character. Spider-Man's powers include superhuman strength, agility, and reflexes, as well as the ability to cling to walls and shoot webs from his wrists. He also has a Spider-Sense, a precognitive ability that allows him to sense danger and avoid it. Spider-Man's rogues' gallery is also one of the most iconic in all of comics, with villains like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, and many more providing formidable challenges for our hero. Over the years, Spider-Man has appeared in countless comics, animated series, movies, and video games, making him one of the most recognizable and enduring characters in popular culture. His popularity shows no signs of waning, as new generations continue to discover and fall in love with the amazing Spider-Man.
