\\\'Take Back Your Image\\\' is a reference to the fact that for the past four-plus years major media outlets have shown images of white supremacists and unapologetic misogynists as somehow being representative of the Republican party. I’m a registered Republican, and I am none of those things—and neither is anyone I know—regardless of whether they are white, black, or brown; male or female; young or old; gay or straight. For too long we have allowed the mainstream media to portray us the way they want—ignorant and malicious, angry and white. The movie ‘Take Back Your Image’ will allow us to do just that, take control of the narrative, change the story—our story.
