From Little Sturgeon, Wi, now live in Maplewood, Wi. Age 64 in 2025, retired in 2017 at 57. Worked at Peterson Builders Inc as an 18 year old, tank testing, and pipefitting, then at General Dynamics in Boston, Ma as a pipefitter for six months, moved back home, worked odd jobs for a year then started at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wi. In 1987 I started my steamfitter apprenticeship with Local 298 & Tweet/Garot Mechanical, in 2000 I started working the nukes, Point Beach & Kewaunee. In 2007 I started as a maintenance supervisor direct for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, did that until my brain almost exploded and left in 2014. I had kept my Union card which, the area locals had merged into Local 400, so I went back to steamfitting for three more years until my retirement in 2017. Now I weld at my shop, hunt, fish, travel with my wife Jeanie & puppy Ollie, watch racing, race go-karts, spent time with my two children and granddaughters, and try to have fun.
