SRO Hamilton County UPDATE Bodycam released #cops #tennessee

Local 3 News has learned that the deputy involved in the controversial arrest of a student at East Ridge High School has requested to be moved off of his assignment as a school resource deputy.

Sheriff Austin Garrett said his last day was yesterday. A spokespserson for the department said the deputy has not be placed on leave pending an internal review of his case.

Hamilton County Sheriff Austin Garrett released more than an hour's worth of body camera footage of the arrest that's causing controversy.
