Band Assisted Horse Stance Isometric Hold

Start by holding onto a band that is looped around something stable. Create slight tension in the band while standing in a wider stance. Pull onto the band so you can lean back more than you would be able to without a band. Squat deep with the torso upright, hips pushing forward and knees constantly pushing out. You will experience some cramping here. The goal isn’t just to stay still, but to actively abduct the hips (pushing the knees out), while rotating the femurs backwards (hip external rotation).
