"I'm So Tired," written by John Lennon and credited to both Lennon and Paul McCartney, was released in 1968 on the Beatles' double album self titled LP (aka The White Album) (Whitburn, 2009). According to songfacts (2024), Lennon wrote the song while in India studying transcendental meditation; because of the day and night meditation sessions, he was unable to sleep and was missing Yoko, which led to the writing of the song. Interesting fact: "The word 'get' as used in this song is a well-known term as a quite mild insult that is still commonly used on Merseyside. Lennon is cursing Sir Walter Raleigh (who is credited with introducing tobacco to Britain from America in the 16th century) for indirectly getting him hooked on cigarettes" (songfacts, 2024).
