Hunter Schafer Rumored to Play Zelda in Legend of Zelda Movie According to Insider

Rumors are swirling from a Hollywood insider that Hunter Schafer is being considered for the part of Zelda in the upcoming live-action Legend of Zelda movie set to come out in 2027.

Some activists have been pushing for Schafer to get the part since the movie was announced and Schafer even expressed interest in playing the part. However, this would be a big risk on the part of Nintendo since Schafer is not a biological woman and casting him would suggest the movie will be going down an identity politics route. While some pushing for Schafer’s casting are clearly wanting that, we have seen many times over that movies that push such an agenda ultimately fail.
