Peacemaker Ratings Collapse | James Gunn’s DC Universe is Over Before it Had a Chance

Season 2 of the James Gunn DC series Peacemaker may be resonating with audiences and critics to a point, but not enough to chart in the ratings.

So far, no episodes outside of the premiere even charted on the Nielsen streaming chart. This is a bad sign for James Gunn’s DCEU since the show was supposed to bridge the gap between the cinematic universe’s theatrical releases. It doesn’t help matters either when the show risks alienating large portions of the audience by pushing a political agenda. While James Gunn may argue the messaging in Peacemaker is only targeting fringe groups, the real world politics suggests it’s attacking over half of the country.
