How Do You Target Lower Abs And Not Hip Flexors

Most people train their hip flexors and not their lower abs. The abdominal group doesn't flex the hip. Sure, the abs will work in more of a stabilizing manner, but they are not being isolated or performing their function. Does this mean we shouldn't train the hip flexors? Of course not! Watch some of my sprint biased workouts and you will see that I train my hip flexors. This just means...let's make sure we are actually training what we intend to train.
