Taking eviction paperwork to the Sheriff’s Department is one of the most important steps in getting a case to court and in front of the magistrate.
Whether it’s non-payment of rent or breaking the lease, this process starts the official eviction timeline. Today’s trip? A whole adventure:
🚗 Drove way out into what felt like the middle of nowhere to find the department.
📄 Got scolded because my paperwork was only printed on one side… “I love trees,” was my sarcastic reply.
✅ Finally got it filed — and then faced a 1.5 hour drive back to the office.
