Why do some believers lack spiritual power and depth in their walk with God? Pastor Rick dives into Acts 19, where Paul encounters a church who had never received or even heard of the Holy Spirit. Though they'd received a baptism of repentance, they needed to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus in order to receive the power for a godly life.

The passage climaxes when new believers burn their magic books worth millions in today's dollars, teaching us that when God convicts us of sin, we must act immediately and completely—destroying anything that opposes His kingdom rather than waiting for convenience or risking that these harmful things might damage others. True Christian living requires both the Holy Spirit's supernatural empowerment and our willingness to make costly sacrifices in obedience to God.
