QATAR INVADES THE US? THE TRUTH BEHIND THE DISINFORMATION

Training a modern fighter pilot from scratch — starting with basic fixed-wing aircraft through advanced jet training and finally to front-line F-15 or F-35 readiness — can cost $8 to $11 million per pilot, depending on the program. That includes simulator time, aircraft hours, maintenance, safety infrastructure, and instructor salaries.
When Qatar buys U.S. jets, they also have to fund the “ecosystem” — instructors, simulators, maintenance crews, parts pipelines, and safety systems. By building this training detachment in the U.S., Qatar pays the bills for all that infrastructure, rather than the U.S. taxpayer footing any of it.
Meanwhile, U.S. aircrews and contractors gain paid experience in training and maintaining identical airframes, keeping U.S. industrial and operational readiness high without budget strain.
So, from the Pentagon’s view, this is a win-win:
The U.S. keeps control and oversight.
The U.S. economy gains from Qatari spending.
The risk of accidents or waste is borne by Qatar.
U.S. trainers and defense contractors get steady work.
