Last Call – "The Dark Age of TV"

We’ve talked before about “Must See TV.” Certain shows were a culture touchstone and served as common thread during so-called “watercooler talk.” Now it’s all about “streaming,” on proprietary platforms behind paywalls, which means most of your friends haven’t seen that show you like, or won’t get around to seeing it for months, and it could be more than a year before you get a new season – a season of maybe ten episodes if you’re lucky. We’re going to talk about why that is and what we’ve lost.
