🌞 A massive Ethiopia map-shaped hole more than 50 times larger than Earth has opened on the sun, sending a powerful stream of solar wind our way. This breathtaking cosmic phenomenon is not just a feast for astronomers but a real-time event that could impact life here on Earth.

Captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory between Monday and Thursday, the hole spans an astonishing 186,000 miles—enough space to line up over 23 Earths side by side. Known as a coronal hole, this dark region on the sun’s surface forms when magnetic fields open up, allowing charged particles to escape as high-speed solar wind.

Coronal holes are like gateways where the sun’s magnetic field stretches and lets wind rush out into space. The solar wind emerging from this particular butterfly-shaped hole is racing toward our planet and is expected to make landfall by Sunday.

This solar wind carries with it charged particles that can interact with Earth’s magnetic field. When this happens, we may experience geomagnetic storms—disturbances that can trigger both technological glitches and spectacular natural shows like the northern and southern lights.

What does this mean for Earth

According to Spaceweather.com, the solar wind from this vast coronal hole could bring geomagnetic storms classed between G1 and G2. This scale runs from G1 (weak) to G5 (extremely strong). Although these storms are relatively mild to moderate, they can still shake up satellites, disrupt communication networks, and even cause brief blackouts.

For anyone relying on GPS or airline communications, disruptions may become noticeable during such events. On the other hand, people living closer to the poles could witness stunning auroras—colorful waves of light caused when solar particles collide with molecules in Earth’s atmosphere.

Why equinoxes tend to increase geomagnetic storms

You might ask why these storms often peak near equinoxes, the times in March and September when day and night are almost equal. During these periods, the Earth’s axis aligns in a way that lets the sun’s magnetic field interact with our planet more intensely.

This phenomenon is linked to the “Russell-McPherron effect,” discovered in 1973, which predicts heightened geomagnetic activity around the equinoxes. Historically, data from 1932 to 2014 shows that such storms occur twice as often near equinoxes compared to solstices in June and December.

While these storms can interfere with electrical grids, satellites, and communication systems, they also reward us with some of the most mesmerizing natural light shows on Earth. The auroras, glowing in greens, reds, and purples, captivate all who see them. These celestial dances are nature’s way of showing us the powerful connection between the sun and Earth.

🧕 The Mother God, St. Mary, the New Ark of the Covenant

In the Book of Revelation (11:19) the Ark of the Covenant appears again, this time in the Celestial Temple in fulfillment of the prophecy of Jeremiah. This vision of the ark leads immediately in revelation to the vision of the woman clothed with THE SUN who was with child (rev. 12:1). The image is that of Mary, presented as Mother of the Messiah and spiritual Mother of Israel, the New Ark of the Covenant.

❖ The Ark of the Covenant had the power to bless and curse, and that it was the dwelling place of God's presence. (1 Samuel 4:3-7). The Ark of Covenant Can Destroy An Entire Planet & Everything on It (Revelation 11:19).

Our Mother St Mary is called “Tsion”. It means a mount, something that you would hide yourself in. When God told Lot to escape because he going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah he told him “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” Genesis 19: 17. Our fathers symbolize St. Mary as the mountain that Lot hid in. King David also said “His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord loves the gates of Zion More than all the dwellings of Jacob.” Psalm 87:1. After stating that our Virgin Mary is the dwelling place of God and that she is also our refuge King David Continued to say “For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it” Psalm 132:13.

Just like The Ark of Covenant is where the commandments of God is written, God the Son dwelled in St. Mary. Kudus Efriem said in wdasie Mariam ZeArb (Friday) “ኮንኪ ታቦቶ ለፈጣሬ ሰማያት ወምድር” You have became the resting-place for the creator of the Heaven and earth.

Axum, a Holy City in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region, whose main Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion is believed by Ethiopian Orthodox Christians to hold The Biblical Ark of The Covenant.
