On the cusp of the 20th anniversary of The Port Arthur Massacre, some nine years earlier, the mainstream media chose the occasion to release 'never before seen' evidence supposedly reinforcing Martin Bryant's culpability in The Port Arthur Massacre.

This took the form of an interview hosted by Mike Willesee, with Martin Bryant's disgraced defence lawyer, John Avery, who presents an alleged illustration of the massacre, drawn by Martin, and a follow up letter of confession.

This interview represents yet another example of mainstream media sensationalism and arguably spurious claims from a defence lawyer who was anything but, and was later gaoled for embezzlement.

Why years later, is this damning evidence suddenly revealed?
