Deception Tip 11 - Accepting Lies

https://spencercoffman.com/deception-tip-11/ Liars love it when people believe them. Even if the target doesn't really believe the liar, but only pretends to believe, the liar will still love it.

Liars are looking for people to believe them and are thus biased to any signs of belief. If the target starts suggesting things so it appears that he or she is believing the liar, then the liar may believe things said by the target even if they are incriminating.

Deception Tip 11: Liars will seize any opportunity to be believed. Therefore, it is very likely that the liar will accept lies told by the target even if they may be incriminating.
